EL FESTIVAL
ANIMAL Film Fest celebra y rinde homenaje al cine de horror al ofrecer un espacio de difusión para obras de géneros oscuros como el terror, suspenso y thriller, provenientes de todo el mundo. Su principal objetivo es brindar a los realizadores independientes la oportunidad de exhibir sus películas, estimular el interés del público michoacano en estos géneros y promover el crecimiento de los creadores regionales.
Además de ser un punto de encuentro e intercambio entre cineastas, el festival enriquece la experiencia de los asistentes al ofrecer una variedad de expresiones artísticas y culturales de forma gratuita.
Gracias a su participación en redes como la Alianza Latinoamericana de Festivales de Cine Fantástico FANTLATAM, la Red Michoacana de Festivales de Cine CINEFESTMICH, La Unión de Festivales Internacionales de Cine UNIFEST y la Red Iberoamericana de Festivales de Cine REDIBEROFEST, su programación, actividades y convocatorias alcanzan una proyección regional e internacional, fortaleciendo los vínculos con otros festivales afines.

THE FESTIVAL
ANIMAL Film Fest celebrates and pays tribute to horror cinema by offering a space for the dissemination of works in dark genres such as horror, suspense, and thriller from around the world. Its main objective is to provide independent filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their films, stimulate the interest of Michoacán's audience in these genres, and foster the growth of regional creators.
In addition to serving as a meeting point and exchange among filmmakers, the festival enhances the attendees' experience by offering a variety of artistic and cultural expressions free of charge.
Thanks to its participation in networks such as the Latin American Alliance of Fantastic Film Festivals (FANTLATAM), the Michoacan Network of Film Festivals (CINEFESTMICH), the Union of International Film Festivals (UNIFEST), and the Ibero-American Network of Film Festivals (REDIBEROFEST), its programming, activities, and open calls gain regional and international visibility, strengthening ties with like-minded festivals.
