XIMENA DEL SOLAR

ACTRIZ

(Concepción, Chile. 1980) es Licenciada en Lingüística Aplicada a la Traducción de Inglés y Japonés de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) y se ha formado también como Actriz.

Con una marcada vocación personal por el terror y el fantástico, la podemos ver en "Trauma" (2017), cinta con altos niveles de violencia, o las antologías  "Ill. Final Contagium" (2020) y "Apps" (2021).

Es jurado e invitada frecuente de diversos festivales latinoamericanos enfocados en el horror. 

Actualmente se encuentra en la  pre-producción de un nuevo largometraje de género (coproducción entre Chile, España y Argentina) y estrenando el cortometraje en clave neo-giallo “Noche de ensayo" (2022), así como el videoclip "La Piedra de la Locura" para la banda Alto Voltaje.

ACTRESS

(Concepción, Chile. 1980) has a degree in Linguistics Applied to English and Japanese Translation from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and has also trained as an actress.

She is a jury member and frequent guest at various Latin American festivals focused on horror.

He is currently in the pre-production of a new genre feature film (co-production between Chile, Spain and Argentina) and is premiering the neo-giallo short film “Noche de ensayo” (2022), as well as the video clip “La Piedra de la Locura" for the band Alto Voltaje.

ADRIÁN GONZÁLEZ-CAMARGO

DIRECTOR, ESCRITOR Y DOCENTE CINEMATOGRÁFICO

Escribió y dirigió los largometrajes de ficción Enero (2013), Andrea en una caja (2014) y El origen de las princesas (2023). Se ha presentado en diversos festivales en México, Europa y América Latina. Ha sido becario Fulbright, IMCINE, FONCA y PECDA. Estudió un MFA en Guionismo en la CalState, Northridge en Estados Unidos. Actualmente cursa el Doctorado Interinstitucional en Arte y Cultura. Tallerista y profesor universitario desde el 2008 en diversas universidades e instituciones en México.

Coordinador y programador del Festival de Cine y Video Indígena entre el 2006 y el 2012. Ha sido jurado, programador asociado y colaborador en diversos festivales cinematográficos de México, entre ellos Festival de Cineminuto UAM, Cinetekon! y FICUVAQ.

Se ha desarrollado como guionista de televisión y radio, escribiendo y dirigiendo entro otros proyectos, la serie radiofónica "Mauricio Peñafiel: El caso Úrsula Manrique,", transmitida por el Sistema Michoacano de Radio y Televisión. Durante 11 años condujo y dirigió el programa radiofónico, Noches de cine. Ha publicado los poemarios Clavicordio (2002) y Todavía es mañana (2016).

DIRECTOR, WRITER AND FILM TEACHER

He wrote and directed the feature films Enero (2013), Andrea en una caja (2014) y El origen de las princesas (2023). He has performed at various festivals in Mexico, Europe and Latin America. He has been a Fulbright, IMCINE, FONCA and PECDA scholar. He studied an MFA in Screenwriting at CalState, Northridge in the US. He is currently pursuing an Interinstitutional Doctorate in Art and Culture. He is a workshop facilitator and university professor since 2008 at several universities and institutions in Mexico.

Coordinator and programmer of the Festival de Cine y Video Indígena between 2006 and 2012. He has been a jury member, associate programmer and collaborator in various film festivals in Mexico, including the Festival de Cineminuto UAM, Cinetekon! y FICUVAQ.

He has developed as a television and radio scriptwriter, writing and directing, among other projects, the radio series "Mauricio Peñafiel: El Caso Úrsula Manrique," broadcast by the Sistema Michoacano de Radio y Televisión. For 11 years he hosted and directed the radio program, Noches de cine. He has published the collection of poems Clavicordio (2002) and Todavía es mañana (2016).

ENRIQUE MONTOYA

DIRECTOR ESPANTO FILM FEST

Cineasta, comunicólogo y periodista mexicano. Incursiona en los medios de comunicación de manera autodidacta e independiente colaborando en varios proyectos fílmicos al igual que en la enseñanza, impartiendo talleres de cinematografía; también se ha desempeñado como colaborador y productor de festivales de cine en México, hasta que en 2019 funda el Espanto Film Fest, proyecto que da cabida al cine independiente de género alrededor del mundo.

WRITER AND AUDIOVISUAL FILMMAKER

Mexican filmmaker, communicator and journalist. He ventures into the media in a self-taught and independent way collaborating in several film projects as well as teaching, giving cinematography workshops; He has also worked as a collaborator and producer of film festivals in Mexico, until in 2019 he founded the Espanto Film Fest, a project that includes independent genre cinema around the world.

PAULA OLLIVIER ORTIZ

GUIONISTA

Egresada del curso de Guion cinematográfico del Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. Licenciada en cine y egresada de la licenciatura en lengua y literatura hispanoamericana. Profesora de Guion en la licenciatura en Artes y Producción cinematográfica de la Universidad Vasco de Quiroga. Docente en otras universidades impartiendo materias de Guion y discurso audiovisual. Participó en el primer In Pitch Script Pitching Showcase, un evento de pitch creado por alumnos del CCC. Impartió el taller ¿Dónde está la musa? En FOTOVIVA, dónde se exploraron diversas herramientas para fomentar la creatividad en la escritura.

Ha colaborado en proyectos como: Mentiroso, videoclip de Walter Esaú, como asistente de producción; Otra vez las 7 de Alejandro Sosa, a cargo del diseño de producción; Postmortem de Rubén Magallán, como asistente de fotografía; Fashion film para la diseñadora Diana Altamirano, como productora. Actualmente trabaja en la corrección de su primer guion de largometraje llamado Tsitsiki.

SCREENWRITER

Graduated from the film script course at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. She has a degree in film and a bachelor's degree in Hispanic American language and literature. Professor of Screenwriting in the Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Film Production at the Vasco de Quiroga University. Teacher in other universities teaching scriptwriting and audiovisual discourse. Participated in the first In Pitch Script Pitching Showcase, a pitching event created by CCC students. He taught the workshop "¿Dónde está la musa? in FOTOVIVA, where different tools were explored to promote creativity in writing.

She has collaborated in projects such as: Mentiroso, video clip by Walter Esaú, as production assistant; Otra vez las 7 by Alejandro Sosa, in charge of production design; Postmortem by Rubén Magallán, as photography assistant; Fashion film for designer Diana Altamirano, as producer. She is currently working on the correction of her first feature film script called Tsitsiki.

EDGAR FRANCISCO VÁZQUEZ MARTÍNEZ

PROMOTOR Y GESTOR CULTURAL

Director de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Vasco de Quiroga en Morelias, Michoacán. Miembro fundador de la Licenciatura en Arte y Producción Cinematográfica de la misma Universidad. Es egresado de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la UVAQ, su especialidad es en Producción y Realización Audiovisual. Inició su carrera en la docencia como profesor de Cine y video. Ha dado clases en 3 Universidades y ha impartido cursos especializados de producción audiovisual.

Productor, guionista, director y asistente de cortometrajes como: “Lie” “Un clavo saca otro clavo” “Padre e Hijo”, “Uno de zombies”, “Cambiante” entre otros. Algunos de esos trabajos han sido seleccionados en Festivales de Cine de carácter nacional e internacional. Co-fundador y coordinador de la productora de medios digitales “Mamá Gallina” especializada en producción de video y diseño de audio trabajando para marcas como Pritt, Cinépolis, Unilever, Asociaciones civiles, Entidades Gubernamentales, entre otros.

CULTURAL PROMOTER AND MANAGER

Director of the School of Communication Sciences at the Vasco de Quiroga University in Morelia, Michoacán. Founding member of the Bachelor's Degree in Art and Film Production at the same University. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at UVAQ, specializing in Audiovisual Production and Production. He began his teaching career as a professor of film and video. He has taught at 3 universities and has taught specialized courses in audiovisual production.

Producer, scriptwriter, director and assistant of short films such as: "Lie" "Un clavo saca otro clavo" "Padre e Hijo", "Uno de zombies", "Cambiante" among others. Some of these works have been selected in national and international film festivals. Co-founder and coordinator of the digital media production company "Mamá Gallina" specialized in video production and audio design working for brands such as Pritt, Cinépolis, Unilever, Civil Associations, Governmental Entities, among others. 

JOSÉ MARTÍN GARCÍA CAMPOS

GUIONISTA, DOCENTE Y PRODUCTOR AUDIOVISUAL

Licenciado en Ciencias de la Comunicación por la Universidad Vasco de Quiroga de Morelia, Michoacán y Maestro Marketing Digital por UNICLA.  Su tesis “Propuesta de Taller para la creación de personajes literarios con trastornos de personalidad usando la psicología médica y el DSM-5”, ha sido llevada a la aplicación práctica en la Feria Intercultural del Libro de Tacámbaro, UCLA, FOTOVIVA y en la SEMICH. Es ex miembro de la Sociedad de Escritores Michoacanos. Ha publicado su trabajo literario en las revistas Navío, Bitácora de Vuelos, Clarimonda, Seis Mil 83 y Delatripa, así como en el suplemento Letras para llevar de la Gaceta Nicolaita de la UMNSH. 

Fue becario en el Encuentro Regional de Literatura Los signos en Rotación del Festival Interfaz del ISSSTE. Su libro de cuentos Confesionario fue ganador en la categoría Ópera Prima de los Premios Michoacán de Literatura 2016. Publicó de manera independiente su novela El rudo Montoya en 2018. Con el cortometraje Des-Enlace fue ganador en las categorías de Mejor Guión y Mejor Dirección en el 8 Festival de Cine Universitario UVAQ. También ha escrito los guiones de producciones como Dos años después (2013), Pulsos (2014) y Detrás (2014) (co-guionista) y del audiovisual Somos Más de la UNICLA (2019). De igual forma, ha participado en la realización de guiones publicitarios, radiofónicos y de televisión. 

SCREENWRITER, TEACHER AND AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCER

He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from Vasco de Quiroga University in Morelia, Michoacán and a Master's Degree in Digital Marketing from UNICLA. His thesis "Workshop proposal for the creation of literary characters with personality disorders using medical psychology and the DSM-5" has been taken to the medical psychology and the DSM-5", has been taken to the practical application in the Intercultural Book Fair of Tacámbaro, UCLA, FOTOVIVA and SEMICH. She is a former member of the Society of Michoacan Writers. He has published his literary work in the magazines Navío, Bitácora de Vuelos, Clarimonda, Seis Mil 83 and Delatripa, as well as in the supplement Letras para llevar of the Gaceta Nicolaita of the UMNSH.

He received a scholarship for the Regional Literature Encounter "Los signos en Rotación" of the Interfaz Festival of the ISSSTE. His book of short stories Confesionario was winner in the Ópera Prima category of the 2016 Premios Michoacán de Literatura. He independently published his novel El rudo Montoya in 2018. With the short film Des- Enlace he was winner in the categories of Best Screenplay and Best Direction at the Festival de Cine Universitario UVAQ.
