MUESTRA UNIFEST | UNIFEST SHOWCASE

La Unión de Festivales Internacionales de Cine, UNIFEST, es una organización encargada de unir lazos entre festivales cinematográficos, creando vínculos entre los diversos festivales de la República Mexicana y de otros países, con el fin de difundir, promover y distribuir los trabajos audiovisuales ganadores de cada uno de los festivales que se integren a esta organización.

The Union of International Film Festivals, UNIFEST, is an organization dedicated to strengthening ties between film festivals, building connections among various festivals across Mexico and other countries. Its goal is to showcase, promote, and distribute the award-winning audiovisual works from each of the festivals that are part of this network.

Un joven regresa a una antigua casa familiar, ubicada entre los campos de agave, con la intención de comenzar una nueva etapa de su vida. Sin embargo, desde su llegada comienza a sentir una presencia misteriosa que parece acompañarlo en silencio y despertar recuerdos que creía olvidados.

A young man returns to an old family home, located among the agave fields, with the intention of beginning a new chapter in his life. However, upon his arrival, he begins to sense a mysterious presence that seems to silently accompany him and awaken memories he believed he had forgotten.

Después de morir, un grupo de desconocidos despierta atrapado en una antigua casa de la que aparentemente no existe salida. Pronto descubren que aquel lugar no pertenece al mundo de los vivos: es un limbo donde las almas quedan suspendidas antes de enfrentar su destino. Mientras los recuerdos de sus vidas comienzan a emerger, cada uno deberá confrontar los pecados, culpas y decisiones que los llevaron hasta allí. Juntos deberán descubrir qué los mantiene atrapados y qué están dispuestos a sacrificar para poder avanzar al más allá.

After dying, a group of strangers awakens trapped in an old house from which there appears to be no escape. They soon discover that the place does not belong to the world of the living: it is a limbo where souls remain suspended before facing their fate. As memories of their lives begin to emerge, each one must confront the sins, guilt, and decisions that brought them there. Together, they must discover what is keeping them trapped and what they are willing to sacrifice in order to move on to the afterlife.
